If I could meet and chat with any star from the 70's it would be Roy Wood. I've always liked every group he's been in.

I could listen to Roy Wood all day. He's the most underrated artist of all time, he could play almost every musical instrument. His music doesn't sound any different now to what it did in the 70's ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

@joesophie90 I've always loved Roy Wood but he should be knighted for everything that he's done for the music industry. He should definitely be knighted while he's still alive. He and Jeff Lynn put the Midlands on the map with their music inspiring others. I was still in school when Flowers In The Rain was the 1st record played on Radio 1, Tony Blackburn was the DJ

Roy's catchy and meticulous tribute to the Beach Boys and a rare sighting of his hipster look, just before he went doolally with the stage make-up! The audience often looked a bit glum in early '70s TOTPs. Not this lot, though! You go, girls!

Ummm,Roy had already gone doolally a year before in 1972 with the dyed hair and face paint, with Wizzard - you do know that in 1973 he was releasing solo stuff like this, alongside his Wizzard releases. I do prefer this look of Roy's and Ricks.

How could this record be recreated perfectly on tv ..in 73 let alone now ? . Not a con if you aren't of an age to know that top of the pops a brittish tv show mainly had acts miming or playing to a backing track .. sometime singing live to a rerecorded backing track ...sometimes they had an orchestra playing the backing & female backing vocalists ( crap) , and they were awful. ( musician's union ) Much rather have a mimed performance than that.. .everyone knew it was mimed the shock was when it was live!!!
