I was a heel runner and then as I tried to migrate to mid foot running I morphed into a weird, hopping forefoot run that made my forefeet hurt so bad during long runs lol Once I figured it out though, I crushed paces that seemed impossible to me Before that

what did you do to fix it? Im in the process of trying to adjust and in that awkward stage as well. lol

@@EddieLMO with heel striking you probably had the idea of rolling the foot when running ,from heel to toe , but when mid/fore foot striking you have to think about it more of like you gradually putting pressure on the foot when landing ,and then rebounding when you finish the steps ,like some kind of bike suspension

Gotta be mid foot for me. I used to run on my toes growing up. 😭

Idk if anyone will answer but for those who midfoot strike, do any of your heel make contact on the ground after you land on midfoot

The idea is that’s the form your should hold no matter the pace. Fore/midfoot landing vs heel striking because landing on your heel is more like braking vs propelling

I don't understand the debate between heel or midfoot strike. Every living being has its unique biodesign in terms of movement. For some reason humans are the only species to over complicate basic movement patterns due to high tech shoe design for example. Just run barefoot without a running shoe with super thick heel padding let's see if you are still a heel striker. You wouldn't be able to run a lot.
