Looking good. Really good. An impressive use of space, good MPG with the Transit and "all the essentials."

that's a cute looking camper van. I converted a mk 1 golf into a model home for a year.. me my little girlfriend and her big daft dog all manages to sleep well in there rain or shine.. ment a lot of carefully planned trips around Spain playing are guitars on the streets to make money for diesel, if I couldn't find any to recycle.

The toughest part of the job is putting up the ceiling... Can't fight gravity... Well, we can fight gravity. When using a fabric and fabric glue, use strips of heavy duty bi-adhesive tape. It helps to hold the fabric in the right position, without the fabric crashing down to the floor and messing things up. It's also important to use hi temp. resistant glue and avoid glue from heat guns. I'll never use adhesive plastic rolls again. They stretch and pull and bubble with time and heat. LED lights are a must. You can keep the lights on all you want without the battery dying on you. One thing we can't do in Europe is to remove the full sheet metal or metal cage dividing the cabin from the back of the van. It's illegal and you can get a fine and have to go through a revision inspection of the vehicle.

@900KING2

@@RicardoRoams No shit! They know how much an RV costs so they swung for the fences knowing 10 grand is cheaper than 60 for brand new. I mean, I could see 3 or 4 grand max i could find someone to do all of this and more for less than half that.
@poppa4178
5 жыл бұрын
@@RicardoRoams okay, go buy a new van worth 25-40 grand and convert that or go buy a 3k van and let's see how far it gets you. 10 grand is not an "OUTRAGEOUS" amount.
