John Smith Well Contusion Concussion who knows sources say one thing one say the other but there is a little chance he won't be you gotta think about it there's a low chance of him not being able to play because of the injury but the chance that he'll retire. But if you know shazier he is a warrior if there's a chance he can play again I believe he will take it and Come back

Tyrone Gardner I was covering a punt when I was a senior. We were undefeated and trying to win the conference but we were losing so I was trying to make a play. I lowered my head trying to take the returner and was probably inches away from breaking my neck, when I got up was fuzzy and I knew exactly what I did. I prayed extra hard that night in thanks to God that I didn’t end up like Shazier. Football is a dangerous sport and you must know what you sign up for before you put the helmet on.

I hate that the rivalry is so strong/ridiculous between the 2 teams. It’s getting old fast. I have seen so many things while working at/for the bengals during these rivalry games. The sad part is, the rivalries with the ravens and browns aren’t as bad or dangerous as this rivalry.

MDR: These players have never given a thought to their health. They would not be out there otherwise. Playing is their own choice.

First time I’ve watched this since I saw it live. So unfortunate. I watched him a lot and he lead with his head rather frequently. So unfortunate it had to happen so bad for him. Glad he has recovered well

Shazier was a great lb. What motivation. With that being said, I think he's influenced even more people since he started walking. This athlete and great man, has no quite! GOD bless you Ryan.

Pats fan here. Love that the Steelers are still paying him and are supportive of his possible return to football. Speaks a lot to the organization. Very happy to see that he is doing well and making improvements everyday. Continued prayers for Shazier!

I cried when I saw this happen. It broke my heart in two. I cried again when I saw him walk again, too. He’s a wonderful man whose career was cut way too short.

I pray to Jesus that Ryan is alright. So terrifying to see his arm and legs go limp after the hit. I felt so sick. God please let him be okay.

I remember in high school our coaches would drill us when someone would lead with the crown of the helmet when tackling but it’s almost instinctual when your going full speed, such a heartbreaking story for Ryan but glad to see he is recovering and can walk now.

As a Pittsburgher and a Steelers fan, it makes me so happy how much love he has for the city and the people here. It seems like he is going to continue living here too as I saw him with his family at Kennywood just this past summer. Glad to see he likes it here.
