How does the Saatva Solaire compare to a compatible Sleep Number Bed?
@timprow7687

We tried a Sleep Number bed, and found that it tended to sink some in the middle. In softer settings you fell like you would roll to the middle. Is that a concern with the Solaire?

Did they recently change this mattress? On their page the latex is on top of the memory foam.

Will the Lineal Adjustable base fit in a regular wooden bed frame with head and foot boards?
@Mattressclarity

We have not used it in that way. However, according to the company, it will work with any open cavity bed. I would measure your bed opening and double check with one of their customer service reps to ensure that the Lineal will fit with your bed.

I really need your help. I weigh about 175 and 5'8" tall. I had a Beauty Rest Inner Spring -medium firm that I bought 3 years ago. It was great in the beginning and started to sag a few months ago but not enough for Beauty Rest to help. Because I have MS and some pain in my back, shoulders, and neck I decided to spend the money for the Solaire. I've only had it 2 weeks but no matter what number is I set it to it still seems firm even at the lowest number. It sinks down when you lower the number but doesn't really get soft. Do you think I would be better off with the Saatva Innerspring or Loom and Leaf? I need pressure relief and I also like to feel a bit of softness and hugging.

What if i weigh 225lbs an sleep on the side
@Mattressclarity

Marten weights 230 lbs and didn't feel the best pressure relief when he was on his side. Have you taken a look at the regular Saatva mattress? He liked that better when he was on his side. Also, if you sleep just on your side, Marten really liked the Purple 4 for someone of your weight.

Great review and great channel. I am trying to compare the Sleep Number I8 and Saatva Solaire. I weigh about 280 and find myself in all three sleeping positions but more on my back as I had a hip replacement last month. Could you also comment on the air chambers loosing air overnight with a heavier person. Thank you in advance.

Is there any other mattress that does a partially split king bed like this? I really don't like a traditional split king -- two twin XL mattresses -- because of the canyon that is created between the two mattresses. I would like to avoid that as it is not comfortable. But I must say that this mattress looks pretty sloppy for the high price point. Your review is not the first that I have watched and the mattress always looks beat up in the videos. It honestly looks like a piece of junk. But I have a Saatva mattress and it is absolutely a nice mattress. I am wondering if this model just doesn't live up to snuff? Also you mentioned in another video that a coil hybrid or inner spring mattress is best for heavy weight sleepers, based on that, would you not recommend this for a heavyweight? My partner is a big guy and he has a lot of pain issues. I am not a big person but I also have pain issues. I am looking at getting an adjustable bed in hopes that it will provide the comfort we need. Currently I have the Loom and Leaf by Saatva with a memory foam topper (add on) and I think the bed is comfortable (although the Sofitel is superior). He hates it, though, and often sleeps in another room on a cheap mattress. Plus he has fallen out of bed twice in two years so I need a mattress with good edge support. After hours of research I am looking at the Saatva bed in this video or the HD for him, the Winkbed split king so that I can get the Plus for him, the Plush Beds memory foam and the Sofitel Bed. And I still have to check out the Ghost Bed (love their pillows). Which do you recommend? Or is there another mattress you suggest? Thanks so much for your reviews. They are very helpful.

Thoughts on this vs sleep number i8 and air pedic?
@Mattressclarity
5 жыл бұрын
They are very similar in terms of construction. However, the Solaire does not come with a Sleep IQ app like you find with the Sleep Number. With the Solaire, you can control both sides of the mattress independently. However, with the Air Pedic, you can control both sides as well. You can also adjust the lumbar zone independently to get just the right amount of support.
