Salo - Day Trip from Turku
Our Salo day trip kicked off at Design Hill, here you can browse both Finnish brands like Marimekko and Finlayson, alongside international names like Redecker and Alessi. After that, we found some Naruto manga at the Halikon kirjasto (library), which was a nice surprise! I even took a moment to challenge Mikko to a quick game of tic-tac-toe here. Next, we checked out the cool photo exhibits at Salo Art Museum Veturitalli. Time for lunch! We found a great buffet at Rikalanmäki - Rikalan Krouvi for only €14.50 per person and they even had a cool replica of an 11th-century sword on display! Quick stop for street art! We checked out the Police Station Mural next. Uskela Church, was our final stop. Perched on a hill, this beautiful church replaced an earlier one damaged by a landslide. Inside, we got a close look at the impressive organ. There’s a free parking for 3 hours and here’s the map for it. And that's a wrap on our Salo trip!
