I crave salt bread from time to time! My favorite part of salt bread is the buttery bottom where it's melted. 😄
This time, I tried adding custard cream to my salt bread! While traditional salt bread is delicious, salt bread with custard cream has a unique ice-cream-like flavor that I enjoyed. To enjoy custard salt bread, store it in the freezer and thaw it at room temperature when you're ready to eat. For regular salt bread, make it, cool it, and then store it in the freezer. When you want to enjoy it, take it out and air-fry it at 180 degrees Celsius for about 5 minutes. 🙂
I noticed that my salt bread sometimes has the signature cave-like appearance, which I think may be due to the hand-kneading technique rather than the recipe itself. When I make it, sometimes there's a cave, and sometimes there isn't. So, don't stress too much about it, and I hope you all enjoy making it! ☺️
I used the recipe from the well-known @ducook1780. I scaled it to make 6 portions. However, I omitted margarine this time, and it still tasted great. 😄
