Hey everyone, today's recipe is going to be Sambal Stingray. The recipe is pretty simple if you have additional stock of the rempah made at home! In this video, I show you how to get the "char-ness" on the Stingray just like stalls outside! I personally think this is one of the better recipes and once you manage to make it, you will not want to eat it outside anymore!
For this recipe, you will need:
- Main -
500g Stingray
Few Pieces of Banana Leaves
Few Shallots
Cincalok
Fresh Calamansi
- Sambal Belacan -
150g Shallots
5 cloves of garlic
5 large red chillies
Few bird's eyes chilis
35g Dried Red Chili
25g Galangal
25g Turmeric
6pc candlenuts
3 stalks lemongrass
10g Belancan
50g Dried Shrimps
75g Tamarind Paste
2 tbsp Gula Melaka
This recipe is more than enough for 4 people during a normal dinner/lunch. My parents said it's pretty good and comparable to the top stalls outside. Try it today!
