Just love learning this new skill! I’ve done tons of handwork and embroidery for more than 60 years and find this style so artistic and challenging. Your method of teaching is superb! Thank you so much.💜🩵💚

I am always amazed at how many different patterns there are and this one is one I have not seen before. I would have to be especially careful when doing the diagonal lines and think I would do this on a small piece first, which bring me to ask what you do with all of your small practice pieces. You must have a whole stack of them.

Yes, the angle of the diagonal lines are a little tricky first. From the second line, it becomes much easier! There are some close up photos of my Hanahukin with this pattern on my instagram❤️ instagram.com/p/C5GLwdOBBk9/?igsh=aWtxd2QyNTl6OTVy I’ve been keeping small samples as they are at the moment, because I want to be able to see the back of stitches to remember how I stitched. I usually make 10cmx10cm samples but also many are smaller and not all in the same size because I use small scrap fabrics for them. Sometimes I wish I knew how to do quilting like you! I would love to make them into one large piece one day! I found this pattern in the book I brought back from Japan but it only had some photos of an old Hanahukin with no proper instructions but it said ‘Kagome’ so I went through my old Kagome samples of other styles (the two samples I showed in this video) to figure out how to was stitched. I hope this is the correct way to stitch this style😅

That’s a deceptively complex and beautifully delicate design. I’m gonna have to try it out!

That’s really true! I have a book which has a photo of an old Hanahukin with this pattern but it doesn’t explain how it was done. I originally thought it was a lot more complicated but it was very easy to stitch👍❤️🧵🪡

Turkish should be available. If you go to Setting on the screen, you’ll see ‘caption’. From there, choose ‘Auto-translate’ and Turkish. Let me know if it doesn’t work😊💕💕
