Great video - as always very practical information and easy to follow instructions.

So glad you mentioned the safety precautions for the carbon fibre. Not many people seem to realise carbon fibre is actually more dangerous than asbestos!

I add an arrow saw but, my son's dog chewed the card of flush with the motor. I have though about making a sliding carriage for the dremmel tool. A little crooked on a glue in point is not a big deal but, I want it perfect for broadheads.

Fantastic information. Thanks. I was wondering if a pipe cutter would work with some arrows. No I know to buy aluminum arrows.

Yes, a small pipe cutter works really well on aluminium arrows, but I wouldn't recommend it for carbon

Very helpful video as I'm about to cut carbons from 31 to 26 ( to try using a clicker) so I won't now use the pipe cutter, thanks. I originally thought cutting the arrow would make the arrow stiffer, so I Goggled it. The answer appears to be it does and it doesn't. Help.

Hi. Shortening your arrows definitely stiffens them, you can prove it to yourself by simply holding your arrow at each end and then bending it, then move your hands closer together and try to bend it again. You will feel that it is harder to do. Thank you for your support 🙏

This is invaluable information. My arrows are carbon Huntington arrows and definitely need to be cut. Question, how do you know what length they need to be? Mine are definitely too long, going to get the cutter for other arrows i may get that are not carbon, and I've got a great excuse now to build my work bench which is still in its box lol. But i have a vice, a electric saw which i guess will work just as well as a dremel saw. And grips. I guess most men should have these basic tools. My dad instilled that in me at a young age, "A man must have the essentials in a toolbox" lol ps my draw length is 27 inches and at moment my arrows are 59inch.

The easiest way to work out your arrow length is to measure your draw length accurately and add 50 mm that will give you some wiggle room when fine tuning your arrows. Please don't use a saw of any kind to cut carbon arrows, the carbide disc on a dremel grinds through the carbon rather than cutting it. A saw blade will tear the carbon fibres and ruin your arrows. I'm going to make a video on arrow spine and the effects of too weak, or too stiff spine arrows in the future so keep watching 👀. Are you saying your arrows are 59 inches long, that can't be right. I'm putting that down to a typo

Why are you not allowed to shoot carbon arrows at your club ?

Hi Jake. It's a safety thing, we share our club grounds with a children's football club and as its almost impossible to find lost carbon arrows with a metal detector the club decided to ban them rather than risk a child getting hurt falling on a lost arrow.
