SC v3.23 MM - Decoupled Kite w/ Coupled BWD - Backstrafe Example
This example illustrates that the backward Z- drift velocity is coupled (zero Z- velocity) and will only allow the ship to go backward (Z-) when commanded by the player, much like the coupled mode.
While this still allows players to abuse backstrafe, it must be held constantly. If the backtracking kiter stops holding the backstrafe button, their ship's IFCS will kill the drifting with coupled BWD mechanic and even cause their ship to close distance with the target if they constantly yaw at the target while side strafing.
