Thanxs for this. A question i have is in the first diagram the Vin enters the non-inverting input in the second diagram the Vin enters the inverting input. To clarify in the second case, do closed loop schmitt triggers always work on the principle of Vin signal being applied to the inverting input or is this interchangeable with an inversion of the UTP and LTP occurring when Vin is swapped to the non-inverting input?

good explanation, but at 18:37 why did you choose to consider VT and not -VT ? it will result -Vsat if we choose to consider -VT , i.g Vin > -VT --> vout = -Vsat .

What is the initial voltage at output? ? If output is positive offset then good. But if negative offset is present the output will change.

parthiv s it depends on what direction you are proceeding in varying the voltage. If the characteristics justifies the logic then its correct.
