Thank you for the video. I particularly enjoy the parts where you include some funny bloopers. And let me also complement you for your perfect English command! Why don't we all praise Sean for his English, shall we? English is not his mother tongue, but he speaks it fluently and you can hear the dramatic difference when you listen to the other guy from that crazy plant shop (in a positive way) at the end of the video. Thank you for your videos, Sean! They are always pleasure to watch, especially from cold autumn Russia!! 😁😁😁

HELP! My scindapsus has a weird leaf problem My scindapsus is geting some werid brown spots on the older leafs🤨 They are not like ‘normale‘ brown spots. The color rangers from greyish brown to olive and the pattern seems sort of scaly. The leafs feels normale. The brown spots are not mushy or flaky. There are no visible pets and it is not a root problem. I water it when the leafs starts to curl up. The plant is in a terractta pot with will draining soli. It receives bright indircet ligth and is producing new growth like nobody’s business. Have any of you seen this before? Cuz I sure don’t understand it😵💫

@Stormer2620

Interesting. Some of these scindapsus look very different from what's being sold in the US. The Exotica's here tend to have a lot more silver where yours has almost bands of silver. And we see argyraeus that has lots of silver where all yours looked mainly green. Also its wild to see all the somaclonal variations (I assume thats where they are coming from) that the nursery is growing. Curious at what rate they are being discovered from the tissue culture.

Yes!! I've had plants for a looong time and I'm 67! I just realized a few years ago that different plants need different soils. I used to just buy bags of soil for houseplants and wondered why they all got root rot!!!! What a difference it's made!!! I learn something new every day. Now I have orchid bark, worm castings, lots of perlite, peat moss, etc and I mix it all for each type of plant.

You're lucky that you can call Scindapsus so easy :) but then on the other hand, they are at home in Indonesia... But I'm having some issues to keep them going. Mostly the hardest part is to find the correct light conditions, if they are getting too little light they tend to stop growing, if too much they run like crazy! I've had a 2 foot runner with no leaves on one of my plants...

Hello Sean! I recently got a Scindapsus Pictus and it’s sitting right beside a window where it gets ton of light all day long but never direct sunlight. However, I noticed that its leaves curl everyday during the day and then they are back to normal when I wake up in the morning. I don’t think it’s a watering issue, it has no root rot and isn’t root bound. Do you think it’s possible for them to want less light? I know they like bright indirect sunlight, but I can’t really think of any other reason. Maybe change in temperature during the day? We’ve been getting cold nights and warm to hot days where I live. Thank you in advance?
