Love the use of 2 extruders for support material - would be cool for something that acts like a resin curing chamber that just has a bunch of spud guns to clear away supports

Very cool! I love that it's a dual extruder.

You could use a bunch of cannons to shoot out the glass to remove the support like you would irl

very nice, i tried to make a gantry 3d printer once in Scrap Mechanic, but the Modpack pistons weren't having it

Yea, I had the same problem. Here I used a double stack of vanilla piston.

beautiful work! are the two beams per gantry only necessary to stop the printing head tilting?

yea they bend over I few degrees other wise. also, it makes it look way better

how do you make it print something? is there a waqy to select something that you want to print?
@itchytrack

Yes, we use the modpack memory panel to store the print file and we make the file with a python program. You can find it on GitHub with the name "MTech-slicer"

How do you store the g code in such a small area when I made one of these I had to put it on a 16/400 plate that would roll by a bunch of color sensitive sensors and then manually painted the g code on

I use the modpack memory panel, you can see one on the table in the video

@@itchytrack ohhhh ok that makes a lot more sense but how did you encode it in the first place then
@itchytrack
4 ай бұрын
@@thegatofish8450 for this I encode data all in one number: x, y, z, block type It looks like this: data = x + y*16 + z*256 + blockType*4096 Then to read you do the exact opposite

I've been wanting to build a delta printer for the longest time, and this one is very well executed. Well done! Just out of curiosity, do you have modpack logic that does the inverse kinematics realtime, or is the slicer baking that into the "gcode" (or another solution)?
@itchytrack

I have it done real time

you can do it just with the Pythagorean theorem. sqrt( (the length of the arm)^2 + (the distance in the xy plane you want from the base for the arm to the connection on the print head)^2 ) + (the desired y value of the print head) = (the height needed for each arm)
