Well speaking of the Jack rabbit. I know you did the Jack rabbit Idora park but can you recreate Jack Rabbit at SeaBreeze in Rochester New York as a request. Also it's still in operation.

I really only make coasters that aren't operating anymore. That's because you can still ride Jack Rabbit and find many videos of it. I want to make videos of rides people can't ride anymore, especially if there are no videos of them.

I love that you included the Jack Rabbit in this recreation.

I grew up at this park. I've seen some pictures of the wildcat but obviously never got to ride it. Where did you get the information to create the model. I've only ever seen just pictures showing a small amount of the ride.

Someone who requested I make it emailed me lots of photos from the archives of the company that built it. It included construction and operating photos.

I am so impressed by your work ever since you recreated The Cyclone from Puritus Springs Park. I do hope you are able to recreate The Cyclone from Cedar Point.

Thanks! I've looked into Cedar Point's Cyclone, but I need to find more photos first. They're hard to come by.

Your recreations are amazing. I like that you cut out some of the ride up the lift hill. Your videos are almost better than the real thing - no line, no weather concerns, always get a front seat ride. Plus now that I'm older (67), can't take the rides physically as well as I used to. Keep creating these for us to enjoy.

Alex, do you do these from photos, blueprints or a combination of anything available?
@RaptorAlex

Mostly photos. There's a great Facebook group called Defunct Wooden Roller Coaster Archives where I do most of my research. Sometimes there are videos. There are seldom blueprints, but if I find any, I use them. Sanborn Maps and the occasional historic aerial photo also help with layouts.

I knew nothing of it until someone wrote me asking if I could remake it from old photos he had.

Impressive work. I've been looking but can't find anyone who has recreated The Ozark Wildcat, that would be a cool one. I'm half tempted to try it in Planet Coaster, but NL2 users make more realistic looking POVs.

Thank you. You should give it a shot in Planet Coaster! There are already some good POVs of Ozark Wildcat, so I likely won't make a video of it unless I run out of ideas.

@@RaptorAlex true, and honestly I should start a new project. I think I've exhausted the concept of creating coaster type variations of the Orient Express haha. (my local favorite defunct coaster)

Thank you for all your work and time recreating these legendary coasters. I've loved coasters most of my life, and have chased/sought them out since 1971. We will never get to ride any of these probably, and this is the next best thing. I am 73, have had a spinal fusion and I am still riding.

Thank you! You've probably ridden many a defunct coaster. It's such a shame so many were lost.

Have you ever thought of remaking the roller coaster at joyland in witchita, Kansas. Or the cyclone at cedar point?
@RaptorAlex
5 жыл бұрын
Yes to both! They are on my list. I ought to be able to do Nightmare at Joyland fairly quickly since there are a lot of photos and some videos of it. Cyclone might prove more difficult. I've only found a few photos of the first drop portion of the ride.
