I literally clapped at the end of this. This video needs more eyes on it. Usually, I'd try to contribute my thoughts with regards to the lore but I'm honestly blown away and my brain is still gnawing on the ideas presents. Thank you for sharing this!

Man as soon as I read Godfrey’s Icon and saw the name Serosh, I knew it had to be a Zoroastrian reference so I did some research and ended up on your vid. Amazing work. Always love to see my religion represented in my favorite games Also love the Fountain reference

🙏🙏🙏 thank you for watching and enjoying!! i hope i didn’t do those of the Faith too dirty with my still-in-progress-understandings of Zoroastrianism, it is one of my favorite subjects to learn more about 😊

Never see anyone bring up dahkmas before, not even the tarnished archaeologist. That’s a deep cut, great video. It’s an interesting contrast to the erdtree burials that seem so vital to the nobles and commoners of the golden order. Maybe the beast souls are pulled into the storm beyond time as they are excarnated, and we all know what lies at the heart of the storm. 😮

🥺 thank you for recognizing the dakhma stuff, i've been so so so surprised no one else has talked about it yet so I really hoped I could maybe spark that conversation a lil more in the community with my video (hasn't happened yet but fingers' still crossed, haha!)

@@LostInTheFloatingWorld anyone that uses neutral milk hotel in their videos deserves to be picked up by the algorithm haha. Uploading some shorts was a good idea. I found you by filtering “elden ring” by newest if you’re curious. Best of luck man!

Placidusax… Placid- (tranquil / complacent) -sax (Proto-Germanic for knife /sharp stone(!) chip) 🧐 So I’m thinking it’s a similar concept to Saturn Devouring His Son. Saturn is the Roman equivalent to Cronus (chrono-, time) god of the harvest, and reaper of souls. 🤔 We trick Placidusax into thinking we’re dead, so it’s trying to devour and reincarnate you into time; his intertwined necks look like DNA 🧬😵💫

Beautiful work! The dots are connecting for me. I had a feeling I was missing parts of the puzzle! Haven’t seen Zoroastrianism in muh videogames since Shin Megami Tensei 3
