I have been taking Sertraline (Zoloft) for 4 months now and can safely say I am in a positive place compared to when I started. It hasn't been an easy path and genuinely don't believe that medication is the answer to everyone's problems but it was overdue for me and has take me out of a rut.
In this video I explore where you can expect to be with sertraline side effects after 4 months of taking and whether everything will be happy and bright. :)
This channel is all about having positive, casual conversations about mental health and whilst I take Sertraline (Zoloft) you can join in the conversation if you take another antidepressant / SSRI / SNRI or if you prefer to tackle your mental illness through non-medicated routes.
At this stage the Sertraline is working well and most of my anxiety and depression have been moved aside so I can concentrate on building a toolkit of ways to approach life from a more positive angle. Remember, these pills don't make you happy but give you the capacity to think more proactively about being happy. It's a subtle change but makes all the difference.
If you are worried about your mental health, take the time to put your local crisis number in your phone e.g. Samartians in the UK is 116 123.
