I am obsessed with vintage sewing machines! It started when I had to put my Viking Designer SE in the shop for repair. I had some projects I wanted to do and the shop kept my machine for 3 weeks. I decided that I should go out and get an old machine for when i am servicing my regular machine then I can complete any pending projects I may have. Well I started with a singer ZigZagger built in the 70's then I found an old Montgomery Ward URR 188 which was a clone of a Singer 15 model. I took upon myself to bring that Montgomery Ward to life. I even changed the motor (very simple to do) and cleaned it up. Then I found for $10.00 and old kenmore heavy duty sewing machine with table. I was even more adventurous and actually completely repaired rewired a foot pedal and very open that machine up and clean all the crevices of dust and gave it a good oiling. This lead to more great machine finds at very good prices. I got to the point that I started serving other people's machine. When My sister came to visit me this past September 2016, she loved my Singer 15 clone that I vowed to find her a similar machine and get it all serviced her. I found this lovely Singer 66 for $50.00 with table. There was nothing wrong with the machine other than needing a good cleaning and oiling. Here I show you how to service your machine and get it back in shape. I hope you liked this video and thank you for watching!
