I love this device. I've played live for the past several years using this product. Once you get the sounds you prefer, it works really well. No more dragging amps to a show. I connect wirelessly to this device, then I connect from the device directly into our PA. It's simple and easy, and sounds great.

Okay - So I've gigged with this several times now... Using the AMP OUT feature straight into a Marshall DSL401 clean channel the unit sounds very fuzzy/artificial and overdriven. Into the overdrive channel it just sounds stupid. Gain overload with no clarity of tone. Using the Main Out (Mono) into the guitar input of the amp is better, still not ideal though. Very quiet which means you have to push the amp way up. Using the Main Out straight into the effects loop was better and is the only way I can use this effectively. Most tunes sound okay but all very very trebly when you push the volume of the amp high. EG gig setting with fairly noisy stage set up. FX loop maxed and master volume at about 12-2 oclock. Really effing treble heavy and cutting for solos, but quite muddy and thin sounding for chord work. No real ballsy umph as you would expect from a Les Paul/Marshall... Yes you can fiddle on and drop the treble, or boost this or that, but out of the box you would expect a half decent sound. After 5 gigs and lots of practice and fiddling I am still struggling to get a good gig sound. Getting a good sound at home at low volume is no problem its when you push it through a loud amp you just think, wow that is twangy and tinny as hell. Support from Line 6 is pretty poor. Manual is very basic. Lots of help from Forum people.... I think this will be a quality gigging tool when they tweak a few features. All it would take is a few guides on getting a good sound with different kinds of amps and guitars. EG Les Paul some of the sounds are great for Bridge pick up but switch to neck and it is just too muddy to use... Oh yeah, saving/organising tones is a nightmare with no easy way of managing this. You end up with lots of duplicates and have to name patches again and again just to remember what is what.

C'mon Line 6, let's get it in gear with the amplifi update for iOS 9.0.2. I use the FX-100 mainly in the studio, and without the iPad app, the floor unit is basically an oversized paper weight. It would also be nice if the help line could give me a less vague answer for the update E.T.A. than "we're working on it, should be soon".

I wonder if it will be like my UX2..always telling me my software is not authorized , not registered then when I use their stupid fucking line6 monkee app it tells me I am not online or connected to the internet. If I could sue line6 for mental health damage I surely would lol. They have great ideas.. just cant execute them. My advice ..stay clear of app based guitar gear. As for my UX2..it IS good when it works but its so bugg ridden I gave up on it a long time ago and would nt recommend it for that reason

Don't buy this! It really sucks! Save some money and buy an Axe FX or Kemper.
