--In this edition of Bret's Bytes, Bret Hammonds reviews setting up and communicating with the Fluke 1750 Power Recorder & Analyzer.
Are you getting the error message "Power Analyzer is Not Connected to Recorder"? This video explains some additional setup checks to make sure the device is communicating with the Fluke Power Analyze software.
Summary:
1. Plug unit in and let unit initialize
2. Plug in ethernet cord
3. Go to software to complete communication setup in Fluke Power Analyze
4. Click "1750 Setup" button on left side navigation
--"Power Analyzer is not connected to a Recorder" error - tells us we are not connected
--Click "1750 Live" button on left size navigation to see the Live Screen - nothing is being recorded
--Top 4 icons are grayed out
5. Look at the blank field in the upper left corner. Click on arrow to right, and select the unit. If it doesn't show up, keep checking, it may take a minute to populate.
6. Click Apply, and it says "settings have been saved". Click Ok
7. Check Wave Form in "1750 Live" button on left to verify live signal.
8. Let it record for a period of time planned.
