Jim McCalliog pays tribute to Denis Law and reveals how he had to wait SEVEN years to sign for Manchester United after Matt Busby was unable to get a deal over the line in the 60s.
McCalliog was finally recruited by Tommy Docherty in 1974 after his apprenticeship with Leeds took him to Chelsea, Sheffield Wednesday & Wolves. His career at Old Trafford was much shorter than he'd hoped and when he left to join Southampton he triumphed over the Reds in the 1976 FA Cup Final.
