LOVE your tutes, Dana! I check back here to rewatch every time I need to make some tape, just to refresh on the instructions. For new watchers, if you have the same set of tape makers and want to know how wide to cut the strips: #6 takes 1/2" strips, but makes tapes so small and fiddly I'm not sure what they'd be good for yet. #12 takes 1" strips and makes 1/2" single fold, 1/4" double fold. They seem a good size for small seam finishing inside a garment, or delicate necklines and armholes. #18 takes 1.5" strips and makes 3/4" single fold, 3/8" double fold. I like this size for necklines and armholes. #25 takes 2" strips and makes 1" single fold, 1/2" double fold. That size would be good on hems, decorations and crafty things, they're a little too big for necklines and armholes for my taste. Have fun!

Thank you for the clear explanation on where the 14" mark is, on the sewing machine. My sewing machine is very basic, and when I asked a store representative at a local fabric store, where the 1/4" mark was, she talked to me like I was not the "sharpest crayon", so without a seam guide, I was left guessing. Your explanation of the 1/4" seam being just to the right of the presser foot, was incredibly helpful.

The first fabric I was using was white with little teeny tiny flowers on it and you couldn’t hardly tell with the right side of the wrong side was and I think that was what was frustrating me more was I couldn’t tell which room was writing which was wrong so with the new fabric I think I write it myself it worked out fine I pinned a whole string together before I saw them I actually haven’t seen them yet but I will and I think that made it a lot easier than trying to do piece by piece. Thank you so much Dana for all your wisdom and your wonderful tutorials I’ve learned a lot from you and I will continue watching you to see what you come up with next take care and thanks again.
