Thank you, looks like a great variety. Thank you for note that it is productive as/more than Brown Turkey.

Yes, in many countries people prefer dark figs for their beautiful appearance. But there are wonderful varieties of green figs that taste great! Sincerely, Figs in Israel

You have some amazing looking trees! I’ve never heard of this variety before. Hope to see it available on fig bid or some other market in the next coming season.

Hello! Thanks for watching and questions. It's not as hot here as it is in your area, and I use netting to keep out birds and insects. Indeed, it also has a shading effect. I use a special agricultural net size #17 (17 threads per 1 inch). Its shading effect is 16-18% and it provides good ventilation through the cells. Nets of large numbers have a denser weave and a greater shading effect, but ventilation worsens, which threatens figs with fungal diseases during intensive watering. Hello! There are several references that Mwazi and Eseli are the names of the same Khurtmani fig. He is well known in Israel and abroad. Many consider it the best among local varieties in terms of taste. At the link below you can find an old article about some varieties of figs in the collection of Daniel Yakir (peace be upon him). Khurtmani is mentioned there: chrome-extension://efaidnbmnnnibpcajpcglclefindmkaj/figs4fun.com/links/FigLink006f.pdf Sincerely, Figs in Israel
