What is your watering schedule?

Hello! Automatic drip irrigation turns on every day in the morning. In the summer, if the temperature is over 35 degrees Celsius, I turn on a second short watering after 3 pm. All these are unreliable reference points for different climates, soils, different water pressures in the system, and so on. It is better to focus on the turgor of the leaves. Do you have Figo Preto AKA Black Madeira, White Madeira #1, and Martienca Rimada in Israel? I am considering bringing some plants over but am not sure what process to go through to get permission from Israel's ministry of agriculture. Do you have any recommendations? Thank you.

Hello! Interest Ask! In Israel, Daniel Yakir had the largest collection (about 200 varieties). Unfortunately, that wonderful person and collector died in 2014. Many private collections of figs originated from his collection, containing both local heritage varieties and introduced ones. There is probably a figs collection at the Volkani Agricultural Institute (www.agri.gov.il/en/home/default.aspx). So it is likely that the varieties you mentioned are in Israel. In my collection of the varieties you mentioned, there is Black Madeira. Regarding the possibility of introducing figs and issuing a permit for the import of plants, I can’t say anything - I don’t have such experience. Sincerely, Figs in Israel
