I agree man. My dad had a Nova with a small block when he was young. Then had a Conquest, blew that up and swapped at 350 in it for power and to piss of the Dodge guys. Haha. Then he built an 8 second 454 dragster on alcohol from the ground up in our garage. And he also made my mom's 68 Mustang Coupe into a full tube chassis, all motor 289, no boost no bottle, 11 second drag car also in our garage. I was cursed/blessed to have this same passion from birth. Lol

Now, he is almost 70 (our Mustangs were sold years ago) and I am close to 40. 2017 GT350 ordered. Time to get my daughter hooked and see if three generations can fall in love. The young man looked 1000k more cool in the classic Shelby than in the newer one. Goes to show you the character that an old classic mustang brings to anyone. With that being said I also love the Shelby GT350, what a piece of car that is. I am currently not able to afford either one, but one day I will. It might just be the current GT350 and not the classic one. That's not to say that I wouldn't mind owning both if that became a possibility because I would in a heartbeat.

This hit me right in the feels man, for sure! I grew up at the drag strip. Being pushed round the staging lanes in my red rocket by my dad while my mom raced our Dodge Conquest with a 350 small block in it. My dad built it for her to race (she had faster reaction times than most of the men racing lol). He also built her very first car, her 68 Mustang to be a full drag car. Tube chassis and all. Then I got to watch my father race his 454 dragster he built on alcohol in our garage from the ground up. And as I grew older, the racing slowed, and we shifted lanes. Him and I now do track racing with my 2010 MX-5 and his BMW Z3 M. Mom is going to get back into racing her 68 again here soon and I'll finally get to take it down the strip too. But after everything that happened, I will always remember the smell of race fuel, alcohol, and the smell of burning rubber as they do burnouts to warm the slicks. And I plan to own a Muscle car of my era one day to cruise round and take to some races here and there for my future kids (24, so I've got time before kids come lol) to enjoy as well. As well as road racing. Great video guys! Thanks for bringing back some the best times in my life as well as the great entertainment that comes from every one of your videos!

The classic Gt350 visual is just so awesome, truly a dream car for the garage (and for driving, don't get me wrong), but the carbureted exhaust "glo-glo" sound is what gets me, I would be eager to fire it up every single day, simply for listening to the idle sound.
