I guess some people are just too important to worry about trivial stuff like other traffic on final while others are holding short, waiting for that traffic to land. Forget about safety or common courtesy - "don't they know who I am?" I have experienced that myself and you have demonstrated the correct reaction which is to just wait and be safe which always provides the desired outcome. The fact that the weather can change plans to IFR isn't lost in the drama. Great video, many thanks!

Thanks. One value I find in making these videos is I get to critique my own flying. In retrospect I should have gotten on the radio immediately to let the traffic on final know about the Cessna ... but to his credit, he was on it quickly.

N5502D runway incursion? I'm just a student pilot but shouldn't the FSDO be notified as the other plane was on short final and then had to go around for? If Gerald Painter wasn't in his plane shouldn't he know how it is being used? I know if it was mine I would want to know. I'm not a snitch but that was BS! I held short last fall at S50 for a first short field take off and had a twin behind me berate me for holding up traffic as I didn't feel comfortable rushing as traffic was turning base to final. Jackasses like these need to be called out. Would love to ride right seat and do radios for you one day!
