I went to the beach a few months ago. It was my first time on a bus. I fell asleep with my earphones on, and then I woke up with Ekki Mukk. When I opened my eyes I saw a dark road and a black sky full of stars. That simple scenario made me feel so calm and glad to be alive, but also kinda sad and afraid. I struggle with myself a lot, I'm definitely not my friend and I think I'm a piece of crap sometimes. That moment and that song made me think about a lot of things. Everytime Ekki Mukk comes on, I remember that moment.

The first time I heard this song was by seeing this video. It reminds me of all the people close to me who have died during my life, bringing back their memories, as I saw them all on the ship, going from this world to the next. The beauty of the song can't be put in words, but only be felt.

I discovered this song from that movie: STARFISH. I was holed up in my little apartment in Spokane Washington-listening to this song, with snow outside, completely covering everything, with not a person on the streets. I thought it was just the most beautiful and ethereal song that I had ever heard in my life. If beauty and love can be wrapped up in a song. Then this is that song.

It rained where I live for the first time since this album has been released. I put this on repeat one and started walking. I walked for two hours around my town in the rain listening to this. And I passed dozens of places where I had memories with my first and so far only love. This song brought those memories to life tonight. Every time the song was in its last two minutes I'd cry, and I'd swear I could feel her next to me. Two hours well spent for an emotional masochist like myself.

I remember that night so well, I was home alone, I had my favorite shirt on and I also wanted to make sure this was the last thing I ever heard, because of his unexplainable beauty. They just keep getting better and better, yet, I cannot say one album is better than the other. They are the most amazing band to stay true to their art and keep moving forward at the same time.

Saw them on Sunday. Fantastic show but I was sad that they didn't play this. The warmth of this track is unbelievable.

I know that the music video for this song is more popular, and I agree that the video is a masterpiece, but it's this video of the floating ship/fata morgana that I come back to. It is so perfectly eerie and sublime to me.

their music tears away all the horrors ,the sadness ,it restores the calm ,the peace ,the serenity of the soul ,of the earth , the sounds we have lost , and forgotten, it hurts to hear such beauty and love, we need this to bring us back from the brink of despair and depression, for all the romantics and people searching this is the music to follow, it will lead us on .

It's music like this that is capable of changing minds and people. It's music like this that should be hears on the radio, on our way to work, home or to a long car ride to the beach. Sigur Ros haa changed me, and I loved it.♥ Thank you for existing.

I heard this song for the first time just a couple of days before my friend decided to end her life. This song reminds me of her. I never can hold my tears but still I have sometimes a need to hear this :(

I think what we recognize in Sigur Ros music is that it comes from such a beautiful place, far away from the daily routine and our earthly struggles. Sigur Ros is a taste of heaven, very literally. It is the soul of music, the epitome of what music truly is. For that reason Sigur Ros will always be my favorite artist, there's no comparison.

all of his songs make me go in a deep thinking mind of state, like i feel very depressed and curious of life but i don't complain about it because it makes me feel good & it just feels beautiful.

Wow everything I heard from Sigur Ros is so emotionally powerful. I am ashamed I never heard about them until now. Having lost my mother this last year and been through 2 very major surgeries myself this music is especially emotional.
