Epic. I was at Manchester, amazing gig. Keep this coming! Sound quality is pretty good considering it is a gopro on the chest.

That's just the GoPro man. Ill take that as a complement though. I only shot a few shows and the go pro kept stopping. But when it works it sounds pretty good in the water proof case. The other GoPro footage I shot doesn't sound as good as this which is why I uploaded more from the London show. But there is no mixing or balancing. Just the natural compression of the GoPro. Check out the Bland Street Bloom take in Birmingham I uploaded a couple of days ago. It doesn't sound as good but its all just from the GoPro still.

Cheers bro. The monitors in London were awesome which helped but even the smaller gigs came out fairly clear. Just not as beefy as London. You should definitely give it go.

Is there a particular reason why the guitar outro is played slightly different then it is on an album? Something around 3:35 on album there are 2 guitar hits instead of one like here live. I always liked that detail that this 2-hit thing happens only once in outro, but probably it's only me who noticed :D

This is basically the coolest thing ever! Natural tone of the kit is spot on. Have you doubled up on the triggers because those ones break easily, or is there a cooler reason? :p

Perhaps Dan is mixing samples with the mic to get a particular live tone? I'm not a drummer, though, so I kinda don't know what I'm talking about. :P

Arthur (or Dan?), could you provide a quick rundown on these triggers: how they're working in this vid, and where they're placed? Are they in fact the little red tabs on the snare and bass? Great video - such a good resource to pull and learn from. Cheers!

Sure, a trigger is a pickup that allows you to 'trigger' sounds from a module/laptop. E.g. every time the snare drum it hit, the snare trigger will tell the module to play the sound of a pre-recorded snare sample. Gives you a cleaner sound live. I was just wondering why it looks like he's got who on each drum. I've heard they break easily, that's all.

+Arthur Walwin When you trigger a snare you need two channels, one for the head and one for the rim, so this might explain it in this case, I'm really no expert on triggers though. The triggers on the toms aren't doubled up, they are just bigger. As for the bass drum, I have no idea why there are two.

+Benjamin C well, ddrum makes a "snare trigger" that has two sensors in one housing, one for rim one for head. guessing there's two just so there's a backup in case the main one breaks mid-show. (same for kick)

Do you have the snare trigger set to a certain sensitivity as to allow for ghost notes? Your snare playing is so dynamic I would think a trigger would take a lot of that away live. Awesome playing by the way.
