Nice, love it. I've been doing silver work with Australian opal lately and thought my creations looked a bit dull around the edges. I tried adding some designs with my ball burr on one of my creations, but still didn't satisfy my taste and thought it looked dull. I really like your style, definitely going to give this a go, Thanks for the tips!

Hello ! Love your down to earth art :) would you tell me more about the pattern wire? I’m curious if you use the pattern wire by itself for your ring bands or do you solder the pattern wire onto a separate wire the same width? If you do use it as is what gauge do I get? For the bigger rings and the dainty ones? I would really appreciate if you could tell me

Hi..thanks for watching..I use the pattern wire as is for my bands..It comes in a variety of gauges..I generally get mine from Riogrande and order the styles and patterns I like not knowing for sure how thick or wide they are..then I can determine how I will use them..then I can order the same ones in the future, knowing they can be used for specific purposes..hope that helps..thanks.

I really like your work. Do you roll or twist the pattern wire before you attach it to the back plate? You said you use half round pliers to “bend” the wire. Thank you. Keep the videos coming.

Thanks...with pattern wire its flat stock..so when I bend it sideways you can create curves some sharper than others..you don't want it to kink.

Hi..I have many different sources depending on what stones I'm looking for...Etsy is a good source..just make sure you know what your buying..there are some fake stones out there.

Do you make you own bails? If so, how? Thanks.

Hello..I actually have the bails made for me..I do a lot of shell work and use them for that..since I have them already, I use them in my silver work as well.

What kind of wire are you using for the ring band under the decorative bezel? Do you solder the decorative bezel to the ring band before or after shaping?

Usually if the stone is fairly flat like the opals in my video..I will use epoxy to hold them in...thanks
