This song came out in 1966, I was only seven. I can remember my oldest brother listening to this and many of their other song on his record player. 54 years later I now tear up as I listen to this song. I agree with a lot of others that this song was to short but now as I listen to it I wouldn't change a thing. This song brings back memories of old and tugs on my heart. In 1968 I lost my oldest brother to the Vietnam War. He was listed as M. I. A.! 52 years later I still listen to his old albums on his old outdated record player. APRIL COME SHE WILL........ 🔈 🔉 🔊 🎵 🎵🎵🎵

I'm 64 years old. When I feel down, I come to videos of great songs and read what young people are saying. You guys give me hope for the future. I think we've got a generation coming who can bring empathy back to this country. WE NEED THAT. My generation screwed up so much. We knew the truth in the '60s. But when we couldn't be drafted and our wallets were affected, so many of us sold out. I'm ashamed. Don't do that. The real truth is that we need each other, and we all need what each person contributes.

Saw Art Garfunkel a few years ago in Northampton MA. The best evening, a dream come true. Cried the whole time.

Art Garfunkel could sing the phone book and I'd pay to hear it. What an artist. Both of them actually. Their harmony is magical especially on such light songs like this. Those of us at a certain age are lucky to have heard artists like this express themselves in songs like this. I only hope our grandchildren look back at duos like Simon and Garfunkel with nearly the same appreciation we all have for them.

yes they are limpid, elegant. Both great artists

No matter how good the voice is, you'd soon get bored of hearing someone singing the phonebook. It's a stupid expression repeated by people with no imagination and no brains.

This slower version suits the song much better - it's a wonderful, beautiful poem xx

Art has always been my favorite. I love the way he looks out at the audience. His eyes, Oh His eyes! I've always loved him. Omg , especially at the end!

First time I heard this, was in the movie The Graduate and that was the first time I became aware of the existence of the amazing duo too. A hauntingly beautiful song, one can never forget.

How can such a short, simplistic song leave me with such emotion? The lyrics and Art's beautiful performance are just captivating.

Paul recorded the original version on his first solo album which was quite successful. Art Garfunkel had an outstanding voice but Simon’s voice was also very appreciated. Compared to Art he received even a solo Grammy for best Male Vocal Performance in 1976 and was nominated three times for best vocal act in 1974, 1981 and 1987.
