I've been trying to do this one, off and on, for quite a while but never really found anything I thought was suitable. It's interesting, harmonically, leaning on certain tones, which limits how adventurous you can go but I think this time I found parts that I'm happy with. I also took some pointers from Charlie Burchill's live variations. Quite an interesting story behind the song and how Simple Minds came to record it but I can't imagine anyone else doing it or it being for any other film. Classic example of a song fitting a certain image and time period.
'Simple Minds' is also our default pub-quiz team name if we can't come up with anything better. Anyway, hope you enjoy.
Sincerely yours,
The Breakfast Club
'Leppardized' is my way of adding interesting guitar parts to a song that has little to no guitar in it, in an attempt to make it more like the Hysteria era of Def Leppard. Although really it is just an excuse for me to play over pop. :)

I use a Charvel DK24 (it's purple) into a Boss Me50 into a Palmer Pdi-09 into a Focusrite Scarlett into my computer running Logic Pro X.

My headphones are purposely like that so the cable stays out the way.
I have a Patreon where I upload my notation notes for all my new covers and I am going through my old ones too. But I also provide custom notation and video lessons content there or at my bwmguitarlessons@gmail.com address. Please get in touch if you want help playing the music you love. / bwm5150
