but it's Wednesday! also i used this tip at the start of this year and i went from using straps on every deadlift to holding my one rep maxes at the top for 10+ seconds with ease! the tip really works lol
@bogdan9980

Sorry to intrrupt sir, but if you can hold a "max" for "10+ seconds" i dont think thats a max :))..
@RDS_Armwrestling
2 жыл бұрын
@@bogdan9980 holding a max and actually lifting a max is not the same. You might have a strong enough grip to hold X amount of weight, but the rest of your body might not be able to lift that weight. Usually it's other way around.
@yaslerfuj
2 жыл бұрын
@@bogdan9980 haha, I guess my grip strength is just much stronger than my deadlift. I hit 455 recently and held it for 8 seconds from start to finish and I only let it down because I was too excited to hold it at the top any longer lol

If you literally only care about your grip, you don't even need deadlifts. You can just do hangs and use grippers. If you care about anything besides grip, there is no reason to limit your deadlift by your grip.
@MaciejuCz

Yeah, I've never used straps and grip has never been the limiting factor. I'm pretty sure I can hold several kgs more than I can actually pull from the floor.

Hi doctor, I took notice that one of your arms is larger than the other. Is this caused by some injury, by mixed grip or something else entirely? I also noticed nobodys mentioning this so might be just me as well

I mean, I love you Cailer, but telling people not to use straps is a little one-sided. Sure, it helps you get used to holding heavy weight. But it will also grind your calluses to dust if you do it to much. And if you wanna deadlift often, you wanna keep those calluses. I just started using hook grip for 1 reps, and straps for every set beyond a certain weight. Calluses growing thick my boy. Glad to see you are well and healthy C-Dog. Let us hear from you every now and then. OK?

This is crap tip you don't use them you lose from 10% to 30% in deadlift depends on the size of the fingers and the strength of the grip 500kg deadlift record was with straps
@MrCmon113
2 жыл бұрын
Yeah I bet most of the people in the comments don't even lift. Unless you literally only care about your grip, there is no reason to let your deadlift be limited by it.
@Mizzledragon
2 жыл бұрын
Ehh the 500kg deadlift was strongman style which is a media spectacle. They use straps along with a deadlift suit. We shouldn’t go off that for standards.
