Highlights:
20:02 Seaglet Poop Shoot
30:00 - 40:00 a lot of honking by parents, not picked up by camera.
Parents perch on branches which are blocked from view, they take off and leisurely fly in. Could there be a disturbance (e.g. crow)?
39:30 Parent soaring in the sky above the nest, then quickly goes out of view. The apartment block has a narrow view.
51:15 Parent comes back with fish, self feeds. You can see the fish tail hanging from the branch.
Plenty of Wingers between 50:00 & 1:04:00
1:04:21 Parent takes off carrying the fish, goes to nest to feed seaglets
1:13:00 Parent goes to Mum perch branch. Seaglets continue to self feed.
1:13:26 Mum preens herself
For some weird reason, honking by the parents between 30:00 to 40:00 can be heard but doesn't get picked up by the camera microphone. Perhaps the background sound from the expressway drowns out the honking, so might have to get a shotgun microphone.
Today under the nest tree, we also discovered a dead terrapin with the head and limbs intact. This terrapin had probably been caught by the WSBE parents, brought back to the nest, escaped the nest but only to fall off the tree and die.
Many thanks to the residents of Bedok North Block 98 for letting us film from outside their homes.
