I love sushi and I thought it would make a really nice subject to sketch in watercolour. I wanted to do something kind of splashy and fluid and I don't think I achieved that. I think I need a big fat squirrel mop and I don't have a big one, but I know who to go to to get one! I will do another sketch of sushi and then you'll be able to see which one you prefer.
This is the subject for class today (2nd April) for my Deluxe members, and I am really looking forward to having an honest discussion with them about realistic vs. artistic! Or both!
There are just two months left of classes before my summer vacation, when I take three months away from teaching live. If you'd like to join for two months, it's a good way to set yourself up for a fun summer of sketching, armed with lots of tips to enhance your sketching experience. You can become a Regular member for €14.95:
four classes a month, normally €8 each
invitations to art-themed Socials over zoom
or a Deluxe member for €24.95:
eight classes per month
priority to art-themed Socials over zoom
priority to all workshops whether in-person or online
occasional special art-themed gifts
One thing to bear in mind is that these prices are not going to remain this low, and I guarantee you that they are going to rise in the new term, starting September 2024. I am aware that what I do is very special, and I like to keep the numbers small, so that i can give everyone the attention they deserve. So it's a great time to join and see if you like what you do with us. All my members have access to our private Facebook group where we have such a lovely time, and where we really encourage each ther. It's a happy space!
Meanwhile I wish you loads of fun with your sushi sketching...and don't forget the cute ones!
