Have your skincare preferences changed over the years as your knowledge about skincare evolved?
Pointers I spoke about:
1️⃣. I don’t use snail mucin because of various verified news articles talking about the process being very harsh on the snails. I know some brands mention it’s not the case and it’s safe, however - I find that hyaluronic acid and peptides do an incredible same in giving similar anti ageing, soothing benefits.
2️⃣. I’ve realised over time that vitamin C serums get oxidised very quickly even in opaque bottles so airless pumps are the way to go and thankfully lots of options are now available in the market in an airless packaging.
3️⃣. I also want serums that provide more, either have multiple actives, multiple uses or many benefits and I found that the Within Beauty Calming Drops were just that for me. I had about two months to try out the product before going ahead with this collaborative video. They’re unique in texture, lightweight enough for summer and very easy to layer with other serums, moisturisers and sunscreens.
I would recommend this to anyone looking for a serum for a broken/compromsied skin barrier, someone with redness prone skin, acne prone skin looking for something with ceramides and niacinamide and even for dry skin to use it as a hydrating layer under their night cream in the PM. It’s very multipurpose!
Code TARINI10 gives you extra discount when you buy this!
Also, highly recommend it to pair under tretinoin and after exfoliating peels. It instantly soothes the skin! This is pregnancy and nursing safe.
5️⃣. Lastly, in this heat wave, no way am I relying on SPF 20-25. For me, 30-50 is a must and so is reapplication!
