Hi there it's Hige and Me🌵
We went on a trip to Japan for the first time in about a year!
It would be too long to make a single video about what we saw and experienced, so we'd like to split it up a little bit to introduce it properly!
This first video is about our stay in a 100 year old japanese house and our journey to get there.
The first place we visited was Ojika Island, an island at the northern end of the Goto Islands in Nagasaki Prefecture.
The island is rich in nature and has been chosen as one of the most beautiful villages because of its original Japanese landscape.
On this island, there is a couple who have renovated a 100 year old house that was left vacant and run a home-stay inn called Yasa by themselves.

Their life is a real slow life, as they use wood for hot water and charcoal for cooking rice, and spend a lot of time eating, sleeping and living.
We wanted to experience a little bit of their life, so we stayed here to get a share of it.
It was a relaxing way to live in the countryside, using all our senses and nature, and it made us think about our own daily lives.
We hope you enjoy the nostalgic feeling of living on the island and the scenery along our journey!
