You can use breaking if you install a break chopper. You would need to mess around with a comparator and a power transistor on a heat sink or you could use the analog inputs and a PWM output of the arduino. Let's say you connect a voltage divider from the power rail to the A1 of the arduino. If the supply rail is increasing over the safe voltage, you start ramping up the PWM to turn on the power transistor across the supply rails (with a load resistor) and dump it as heat. That's exactly what industrial VFDs do when DC breaking.

But it does introduce spikes on 5V regulated rail. Those are LDO's so it's probably crappy ESC design. Anyway at that point either 5V zener would probably work, but then I could have bought servo tester and not waste arduino on this.

Jo akorat nejsou presne, hrana je hnusna, a taky ohnuta co dela problemy pri expozici... Plati teda aspon pro vse nuzky co jsem za svuj zivot pouzil... Treba jednou jsi poridim frezku /3d tiskarnu a budu delat hezke krabicky tak me budou vyhovovat. momentalne je deska casto i dekl :/
