It is an engineering marvel. Given everything I've seen and heard from Stef, I doubt the exact design of the B-Box would meet your needs, but as you know, ARV will do anything you want for a price. And that's the issue I expect. No where did a see "Take points away for every $1 over $150K." At least, you should go see it. I was impressed. I was lucky in that they were just introducing it when I was there to upgrade my A/C.

Just came across your channel, very interesting hearing what you guys prioritize. My wife and I looked for some months for a self-drive that offered what we thought at the time were our prioritizes. Just couldn’t get pass the sticker prices so we shifted to trailers. A few things that were important to us; the trailer could be pulled by our Jeep Grand Cherokee (6 cylinder); the unit had solar (for everything but the A/C unit of course), handle off-road (high suspension, all terrain tires), separate sleep/eating area), adequate storage. Honestly, our first purchase didn’t meet most of those; it was a t@b 320 CS-S. After a few shake down trips in prep for our three-month trip to Alaska, we started looking for something a bit larger and would meet our prioritizes. We ended up going back to nuCamp and purchased the t@b 400 boon dock lite. It’s 18’ from tongue to end, weighs in about 3100, easily manageable with our Jeep Grand Cherokee, and robust enough to handle rough roads. What it gave us was a bed in the back (bit larger than a double), a wet bath, kitchen with two burner stove and microwave, and a separate two person eating area. It was perfect for us. Our additional gear when into a Thule on the Jeep. What we found after three months on the road is the 400 setup allowed us separate space when we needed it. My wife could lay on the bed reading or watching TV (though we rarely watched TV opting instead to watch movies off a large IPAD) and I could sit at the table and write, read, plan our next day etc. Whatever else you decide, I think having the ability to have separate spaces and a bed that doesn’t have to be made or taken down to give you a sitting area is important. Of course, we still talk about a small self-drive, but now that we’ve been regular campers in our 400, we know what we want. Of course as they say, self-drives are envious of trailers (park it and take the TV site seeing) and trailer pullers are envious of self-drives (just unhook the utilities and go. Perhaps one day we’ll find the self-drive that fits our needs and budget. Best of luck to you guys.

Many years ago in a different career I was in sports marketing for a fortune 50. My group ran the sponsorship programs. When evaluating the relative ROI numbers on various programs this is EXACTLY how we evaluated the sponsorships we wanted to be involved in. Assign a numerical value on a weighted scale that would provide the marketing presence (value) based upon cost. Simple arithmetic applied to large numbers. But it worked.

I always find it fascinating what people think is important in their RV versus what other people think. For example, first and foremost, you need your mechanical systems: sufficient insulation (I think you guys have this labeled as "4-season capability" in your spreadsheet), power-generating capabilities (e.g. solar), water-storage, filtration and collection system, ample electrical system for powering your appliances and storing electricity. Those are the *priorities*. Without them, your living experience in an RV is much compromised and suboptimal. After getting those priorities locked in, THEN you can worry about the medium priorities like the dimensions of the van, ducted-AC, large pantry, etc. Those are nice-to-have, but not "necessary" the way the aforementioned top priorities. To borrow from the warden from Cool Hand Luke, "What we've got here is failure to {prioritize}." But I suppose you guys have lived in an RV long enough to know what is important to you. Also, one flaw in your ranking system: the features below the Top 8 are given such a low weight that they are almost rendered unnecessary, as the top 3 or top 8 ones have a score higher than the rest of your features combined.

Love the spreadsheet point system, right up my engineering thought pattern:) Great background for the video BTW. Thanks for sharing your thought process. Did you consider the delivery availability of the options, i.e. if you can't get one for 2 years does it really exist (Safari Condo)? I love the subtle pan out at the end where are at Winnebago, wonder who is making the RV?:) My guess is a Transit AWD based van, front lounge, rear width bed, 20' long, high top, no awning or generator, Lithium system, automotive style seats up front with 3 point seatbelts. I can't wait to see what it is as I am about ready to order a new class b van also (currently have a 2020.5 Travato 59G)

Phase 3 = PROFIT! (One of our favorite SP episodes - and one that is quoted by Motley Fool as a bad business plan. "Hey guys, what's Phase 2?"…???... "Phase 3 - profit!") Ok, i'll go back and finish watching the video now and see what you picked. Owen and Lynn just bought a new Revel, maybe you will, too. Or the extended Solis.... (PS You looked as awkward in that toy hauler as we would be. Ironically, we did not build a scorecard for our first RV purchase - we acquired an '18 Airstream Sport 22FB earlier this fall - but did have comparisons from our Class B, C & Westy rentals over the years. We do have a criteria list started for the next AS which is probably 5 years out - the "must haves" right now are front-bed twin (for room), lithium batteries, composite floor, panoramic windows on both ends, rear hatch & ducted AC. We also have size in mind - no bigger than 25-27'.

According to the Winnebago countdown it's a new class C. Since it meets their criteria of being small and it's a hole in the North American market I'm guessing a Euro style. Possibly built on the Transit since that's the hot new chassis this year, possible the Promaster since that's based on the Ducat that most small Euro class Cs are built on.
