I have had a LOT of requests to do a turkey on the Akorn, so here it is! Just in time for your Thanksgiving Day cooking! This cook went very smoothly and the turkey tasted fantastic! I hope all of you Akorn owners give this a whirl and then let me know how it went for you. If you aren't cooking on an Akorn, you can cook it on any kind of grill or smoker as long as you can control the temperatures the way you need to for this cook. You don't have to start out low and slow if you don't want to either. You can cook it at your chosen temperature just as long as you get the internal temp of the breast to 160-165 degrees.
