I had this problem for years & it was so annoying & also embarrassing when out of nowhere my hip just popped so loud while someone was next to me. I had to go to physiotherapy for another problem & we also focused on my hips & pelvis for a few times. now my hips barely pop. I tried your tips & exercises, I think I will continue to do some of these. thank you!

Wow, I'm shocked. I just had instant relief from your first exercise for the iliopsoas popping hip. I've been trying to fix this for 3 years and I've struggled to find any exercise on KZitem that was effective! Even physiotherapists couldn't help me. I also added in ankle weights to make it more challenging. How long do you think I should do these for - about 4-6 weeks? Thank you very much.

Wonderful! Glad they helped you, can be hard to find the right exercises. Yeah, that sounds like a good timeline.

My right snaps for psoas tendon and my left snaps for glute max/ it band reason. I’m only twenty 😫😫

if there is no pain or major injury, it isn't a medical problem. Often the noise really bothers people though, these exercises will help in reducing that.

In the illiopsoas hip-flexor tendon self-assessment, will it only pop once when bringing the leg up and out to the side, or will it pop repetitively as you do it each time? I experienced a pop, but only on the first repetition.
@PerformanceSportSpine

It varies all over the board, some only pop once, others pop each time.

Most likely psoas if it happens when lifting your leg, most likely glute med if is is in the stance leg

Yep, if it is not from trauma and/or associated with pain, not a problem

That's more likely to be the gluteal tendon, however, there are other possible sources.

@@nahlamammou1421 Sorry to hear that, I wish more healthcare practitioners would take the time to listen and show empathy for different concerns. Hopefully, they did a detailed history/exam and took x-rays. If not, you may want to get a 2nd opinion. In general, popping/snapping that is NOT associated with trauma or pain is not medical concerning.

When doing like in 1:54, bringing down leg as well from above in leg raises, i feel like a pop / snap / bulge in my tailbone..been a while now, my spine cracks as well well lying in beg..i guess this is due to extreme sitting periods...could it be a bulging disc?
@PerformanceSportSpine

It's very unlikely that a disc bulge would cause that, much more likely a tendon or ligament moving over a bony structure.
