David Tubb, has a very impressive record from shooting the National Long Range matches at Camp Perry, you will better apricate his style and knowledge knowing he has been there. Then in 2000 he brought out his new competitive bolt action rifle, and now his Adaptive Rifle allows a shooter to use one action for any discipline or competitive level except for perhaps bench rest. Check out his web site, you will likely purchase something from him for your style of shooting.

Thanks, Frank. I really appreciate the time you put in on making the vids. I always look forward to another one. It's guys like you, who have made me very interested in long range precision shooting.

I have just been exposed to this long range shooting and the Tubb gun really fits my thought process to a t. I really enjoyed this interview with the man himself and it just confirmed that his product would be my only choice for this endeavor. I just completed stage IV neck cancer treatments and will be “retiring” from Barbering at 60. I’d love to find a used setup and try reloading for a new hobby. I love all the data I’m getting from your channel and thank you.

A bit surprised at the velocity he's getting out of that round, must be hitting a sweet spot. Those Charlie Taracs are really starting to take off, solve a lot of problems for guys who have to have flat rails .

Jake DuBois I believe it's called the Asymmetrical Bipod. Tubbs makes some great stuff, some are well worth the $ but others IMO just aren't reasonable for the MSRP vs a very similar product by another legitimate company for $150-$250 less. It just depends on ur needs and how much extra $ u have to throw around. I have his 4-Way Adjustable Butt plate on my 6.5x47 Lapua and love it, so much so that i bought a 2nd for my next build with an ARC BarLoc. It'll be either 284Win & 6.5x284, or 284Win and 6x47L or 6mm Dasher(having a hard time deciding there lol). Either way Tubbs is a master at LRP & ELRP shooting and hand loading.

at short distances they're helpful for making fast engagements. for long-distances it's helpful for getting the gun pointed in the right direction without wasting a lot of time. if you've ever seen a celestial telescope, the larger ones have smaller-lower magnification telescopes on them to guide the larger optical set to the piece of sky you want to observe. it's the same principle for using open sights/ sight rails on terrestrial spotting scopes
