Crows are an extremely smart bird. Growing up, a kid in my neighborhood turned one into a pet. He named it Maynard G Crebbs. It was never in a cage, just loose in the neighborhood. He would feed it canned cat food. At feeding time he would yell MAYNARD!! That crow would come from wherever he was and land on the kid's arm and have his cat food meal. Everyone knew him. He was one cool bird.

Thanks! And yes they can get pretty loud here too, but that’s ok, they’re talking to us.

I'm so glad your having your own "crow" experience. I was never able to find the KZitem channel I watched before, but there are plenty of resources on the net, and on KZitem about friendly, smart crows. One recent article (from Scientific American or Discover, I can't remember ,spoke about crows having human like self awareness, in addition to incredible intelligence.

So fun! I paused your video to do a little reading about crows on Wikipedia. They are *fascinating*! One interesting tidbit is that they can't break the skin of their own prey so they have to either wait until an animal decomposes naturally or a predator kills. They'll collaborate with wolves and coyotes to feed. They'll find an injured animal, call out to notify them of the animal...the wolves or coyote will kill it and everyone eats. So wild! Apparently, they have a preference for wolves and have been known to play with them as well. We live in an incredible world with some pretty rad birds!

Wow, that’s absolutely amazing! I’m new to this so thank you for sharing that… I lost my German Shepherd a little over a year ago, and I had some of his dog food left, so I thought I’d put it out and see who came. Wham, I have crow friends lol.

Hey Papa Joe, just wanted to thank you for helping me change my life and my mindset with your videos. You honestly saved my life from going down a darker and more hateful path. I wanted to thank you for not allowing me to get to that point with your videos and say that there needs to be more people like you. Have a good day man
