Great video. Don’t think I would have pitched under that tree however during a storm for fear of a rather large branch coming down. Hats off to you.

I did inspect the whole area for a suitable site before pitching. There were lots of "widowmakers" around. this tree was a stunted oak and I thoroughly inspected the fork. The trunk would have had to have sheared around 3 feet off the floor for that branch to come down and there were none of any size above it. It's always a calculated risk but I did do everything I could to pitch safely. Thanks for watching bud :)

Nice video, incredible scenery with wildlife and that stone building. The stone you carried must qualify for part strongman👍🏻 Atb from a fellow youtuber in the polish lavvu group. Subbed👍🏻

Another great video. I just love to see the stone foundations of the past settlements. Are the stone foundations in your video protected by the Government, or are they just abandon. None of the Deer seem to be skittish around you, are they also part of the herd that you feed and look after or are they free and wild roaming Deer.

They aren't protected as such but they are so remote they don't come to any harm. Just the slow reclamation by nature. The deer are wild but in the bad Winter months they become desperate for food and will take a chance. They know the two of us that live here by sight and have become used to us, some of the more tame ones will feed from your hand but come spring you won't see them for smoke. They take to the hills and are truly wild..

Great video,But putting that venison steak on the rock would be picking up bacteria which could make you sick the next day.
