@@fallout1953 Mainstream politics certainly do not root for actual "leftists", only Neoliberals of R and D flavors. As soon as Biden won, the Dems sidelined progressives, even moderate SocDems like AOC. America is not dead yet but it's ill.

@@BifronsCandle This "neoliberalism" is leftist in basically every single way other than economics (grifter capitalism) and societal structure (state and "hierarchy"), even if it's not genuine, its substance fundamentally screws our countries over, it doesn't matter how it's done, who does it or with what intentions (all 3 in the context of this particular question), so it's not very relevant, to us. America is pretty dead, everything America stood for remains few and far beetween ans is vulnerable to its own current elite that doesn't give a damn about it; it wants to get rid of it, the people who can ever possibly revive it still remain, but they have no systemic power and can't ever get it non-revolution way.
@BifronsCandle
3 жыл бұрын
FN Fallout If you use actual Marxist guidelines, then no, neoliberalism isn’t anywhere close. Actual leftists seek to give American industries to American workers and cut off the corporate parasites who own them now (Bezos, Koch, Gates, Bit Pharma, Military contractors) from influencing American policies. This is in addition to implementing policies that would not only help Americans (Medicare, employment, housing, infrastructure) but stop us from fucking things up in other parts in the world. Obviously, this goes against the interests of both the Dems and Reps, which is why even a moderate candidate like Sanders was so viciously attacked. Neoliberals, on the other hand, seek to maintain the current capitalist global order as it benefits them. Democrats have some socially left stances but, in the end, they are corporate pawns. Conservatives are this but use reactionary identity politics to keep their base loyal to them. At the end of the day, it’s basically two sports teams. And America is not dead yet. If people organize into broad nationwide coalitions, we can force the elites’ hand. Sadly, there is little class consciousness among the American people.
@fallout1953
3 жыл бұрын
@@BifronsCandle As i just said, leftist in any other way, how the economics or state work are quite irrelevant, as much as marxoids love to put essence in the economy, boo-hoo. I don't trust you to be a legitimate opponent to this "global capitalist order" if you deliver same materialistic, economics-focused, culture-subverting, vice-inducing ideal. I don't see you any better to straight-up radlibs or pseudo-conservatives if your only importance is maximizing material comfort of society at the expense of anything beyond basic needs rolled to the level of vice. Actual reactionarism, mainstream "conservativsm" is anything but (it leaves genuine Rightism hanging just like you claim that "liberalism" leaves genuine leftism hanging) , opposes basically everything subversive brought upon by the enlightenment, including this idea that authority will always end up being indifferent to morality and to the commoner, it gets people stuck between two sides of the same coin: liberalism and communism. America is dead, the out-group elite controlling its corpse is not. "Class consciousness", really, all that seems to mean is "class resentment", lol, were it for a good reason or not, probably not if there is nothing else or nothing else core to a person's life but "class" (and this goes for all of them), then there's little worth to them beyond being an economic unit; reducing themselves keeping the machine going and fulfilling basic or secondary needs only, probably to the level of vice, which only brings them lower. So, it's not a surprise that this is the audience that communism tends to attract; degenerates and other low-stat people. This why communism is hardly "a people's movement", it doesn't work either for their wishes or interests, it only reduces them lower in the worst faith, at least the ones they couldn't fool with their convenient narratives to hide their true end goals, the ones they couldn't fool are killed as "reactionaries", because they were probably all too human. SIave-moralistic pseudo-intellectualism; it's both the classical and modern manifestation of such politics

The Liberation of the working class is the job of the workers alone." we must all remember as proletariat, that this work is our own, as Marx said in the manifesto, at the creation of the proletariat we were a class of people no one wanted to protect or care for, it has always been and always will be our right and duty to do the work to realize a better world for all, we draw no lines across the proletariat and one line across society, those who are proletariat, and those who are not, any other distinctions serve only to distract from helping the whole proletariat, this work, will ALWAYS be our work, for we are proletariat, this is something to be proud of.

Before this, Stalin said democratic socialists were tools of the ruling class. So were undemocratic ones, for that matter, if they did not support him. Social democrats were called ‘social fascists’. Communists helped the Nazis destroy the democratic parties on this theory. Then, supposedly, the Nazi would collapse to a big workers revolution. Oops. This song came from the new tack in the mid 1930’s -unite the left-. This popular front idea lasted until the Nazi-Soviet pact in July 1939, when Stalin went back to undermining democratic countries for Hitlers benefit, shipping oil to Hitler to bomb London, ordering French communists to sabotage the war effort by strikes, etc. This relic of the Popular front period will interest the historian.

And just because he's a human, a man would like a little bite to eat; he won't get full on a lot of talk that would give him bread or meat. Refrain: So left, two, three! So left, two, three! To the work that we must do. March on in the workers' United Front, for you are a worker too! And just because he's a human, he doesn't like a pistol to his head. He wants no servants under him, and no boss over his head. Refrain And just because he's a worker, the job is all his own. The liberation of the working class is the work of the workers alone. @@Geoffrey6_ And yet, in Russia, despite the "bloody" socialism, the country has reached those heights that it cannot reach now, for example: in Soviet times we achieved unprecedented achievements in space, our education was one of the best in the world, but still I agree with you that there were big problems, but if we had a king, then alas, it would be worse ...

@@Geoffrey6_ believe imperialist lies, maybe one day the elites will give you a cookie. I will leave this here for you to read (if you can obviously maybe I'm expecting too high for a bootlicker) “During the cold war, the anticommunist ideological framework could transform any data about existing communist societies into hostile evidence. If the Soviets refused to negotiate a point, they were intransigent and belligerent; if they appeared willing to make concessions, this was but a skillful ploy to put us off our guard. By opposing arms limitations, they would have demonstrated their aggressive intent; but when in fact they supported most armament treaties, it was because they were mendacious and manipulative. If the churches in the USSR were empty, this demonstrated that religion was suppressed; but if the churches were full, this meant the people were rejecting the regime's atheistic ideology. If the workers went on strike (as happened on infrequent occasions), this was evidence of their alienation from the collectivist system; if they didn't go on strike, this was because they were intimidated and lacked freedom. A scarcity of consumer goods demonstrated the failure of the economic system; an improvement in consumer supplies meant only that the leaders were attempting to placate a restive population and so maintain a firmer hold over them. If communists in the United States played an important role struggling for the rights of workers, the poor, African-Americans, women, and others, this was only their guileful way of gathering support among disfranchised groups and gaining power for themselves. How one gained power by fighting for the rights of powerless groups was never explained. What we are dealing with is a nonfalsifiable orthodoxy, so assiduously marketed by the ruling interests that it affected people across the entire political spectrum.” -parenti black shirts and reds
