A very special place to me. The cascades leading to the falls are beautiful, too, all the way up to the foot bridge as well as view down river from the falls to the bend. Real beauty!

From a native western Pennsylvanian, yes, you are pronouncing it correctly: "YAWK-uh-GHEY-nee". If you want to sound like a local, just call it "The Yough".

That's a beautiful trail. My wife and I did it last year. We're going back there in 3 days. The "GAP" trail stands for Great Allegheny Passage. It runs from downtown Pittsburgh to Maryland and is one of the rails to trails bike/hike trails. We plan to ride some of it next week.

So jealous. This park is my happy place for countless years. I was suppose to do a trip there the same time you were there. I had to cancel for health reasons and move.

Lovely views. The nature sounds of the rushing water relieved my stress Cliff. I am without good internet this weekend as my modem died. And my emergency wifi is not that good. This hike helped me feel a lot better. Thank you so much! God Bless 🏕🙏🙏🌺🌺🏕

Dont feel bad about pronouncing words. Until I saw your videos, I pronounced Schuylkill, " shookie kill." Lol Now I know better. Ive been to the observation deck many times. Seems like years ago one winter they had colored lights on the falls. I probably have pictures somewhere. It is a wild place. Hope you enjoyed your visit to my neck of the woods. Theres a lot more to see. Be safe❤❤❤❤

Very Beautiful. But you've not fully experienced the Yough until you've stared down Dimple Rock and cheated death for another year. And that's the Visitor's Center across the river.

What can you say about the way those rocks were formed? IMO they look like old lava flows. What do you think.

I bet there's a powerful hydraulic at the bottom of that main fall. Once you get caught there's no getting out :(
