#spottedlanternfly #invasiveinsect #agriculture The Spotted lanternfly (Lycorma delicatula) is a seriously invasive species of plant hopper and not a fly at all. These insects will be breeding and laying their eggs in the fall. The Tree of heaven is an important part of their life cycle but it might not be a crucial ingredient. The egg cases will look like pale mud with a glossy sheen at first and then turn dry and gray or brown looking as they age. I have many photos and clips of their egg cases in this video.
