Ive been prepping for almost 3 years, but i have painted about 50 jobs and 50 covers. My application is just as good as the next guy and my boss says im a natural. I really want to learn tinting a lot more and im always asking to paint shit to learn as much as possible, but i just feel the painter would rather have everything handed to him on a silver platter than let me paint for a week. etc. I have to bribe him to let me paint. Why would he prep when he can mix color and squeeze a trigger all day ya know? I could literally paint all day every single day. I fuckin love it and i love my DV1 !! Anyways, i watch all of your videos and learn as much as i can through you as well, so thank you

I need to paint my trunk the same color (46g). The best body shop I know said they don't do that color. Other shops say they will do it but I am hesitant it won't look the same. What can I ask when looking for a place to make sure they know what they are doing when it comes to this color?

Hey Gunman, I recently got a Sagola 4600 1.3xl dvr clear based on your review and all of the other positive feedback I’ve heard about them.It is my dedicated clear gun and I set it up using your same settings and when you use it it looks like you move pretty quick and it comes out nice and wet and I’m having trouble laying it down wet with one pass. Any suggestions?

If you're using the same settings as I am, then next thing would be to get the distance right, you may be holding it too far away from the panel.

Hello mate ...hope youre well ...I have had to sort of hijack this video to contact you about something I'd like your opinion on....hope thats ok. I am looking at getting some sort of spraying setup for use on various things....spraying furniture and no doubt loads of other things once I get it set up :-) and having it as a sort of "I'll spray that for you" side line ...quality finish for people. For example a friend of my wife wants her steps to a loft room sprayed...and shes about to pay someone else to do it...that could be money in my pocket. That said I also have a VW T4 parked up waiting to have an engine swap and spray job....which maybe I might be able to do with lots of practice and many of your videos later :-) Anyway you get the idea....I think Im basically looking for a good one of home type setup which can tackle anything...ish. Originally ..when I was thinking just along the lines of small furniture jobs...my friends steps etc...I was considering one of these... www.fujispray.com/q-platinum because it is apparently both a quality bit of kit ..and portable too.... That was until I watched a video of yours the other night about HVLP guns....which Im not sure if you meant the HVLP guns on a pro setup or HVLP in general.... But my very drawn out question is... could you advise me on a good setup for a DIY / occasional job kind of thing. Please. I think I would rather go down the route of half decent compressor and gun rather than the HVLP above...but your opinion on those would also be appreciated. Thanks very much mate

Very thin. Unfortunately they have the thinnest paint of any manufacturer. As a painter I highly recommend a regular wax or ideally a ceramic coating.

Thank you for the video. I have a question about spraying clear coat, I was spraying my clear but ran out of my hardner and I ordered one but it's coming the morning which is about 14 hrs from now. Is it okay for me to spray it over my last coat of clear? I don't think it will be completely dry because I'm spraying in my garage with a very low temp. Please answer me ASAP. Thank you
@ThurgoodJenkinz
5 жыл бұрын
To be safe, i would let it dry so you can buzz it down with 800 then smash 2 coats back on it. I think base coat has a 24hr window before you have to scuff it back up and apply another coat or two before clear
@alialsaeedi1024
5 жыл бұрын
Chris I did two coats of clear but I wanted to do three to be able to buff it. The second coat did cover good and it has good shine. I’m not sure if I should just leave it or should I wait and sand it with 800 and do one more or two coats!
