Hi Michelle! I absolutely love your videos! ❤️ & as someone who used to work in the apartment industry in Texas, you can most DEFINITELY request for the office to notify you before any maintenance crew enters your apartment. Also you are required to know why they are entering your apartment. Maintenance is required to leave a note in the apartment stating what was serviced.

It's kinda shocking to hear that maintenance comes knocking at your door without an appointment. What if the tenant isn't at home at that time? I think maintenance coming without an appointment is unimaginable here where I live.

My husband is a truck driver and he’s gone a lot when we moved into our house and had people come to give estimates for repairs I had my parents come and be here. I don’t think it’s weird that you would feel that way because I totally see where you’re coming from.

Good afternoon Michelle. Excellent video. Your decluttering, balcony gardening and spring preparation skills are superb. You really know how to get it done - so full of energy and joy. Of course it's important during your busy day of gardening, decluttering and laundry, that you take some time for yourself. 😉👍

@@sarastump Agreed. Some scammy people actually pretend to be maintenance and then proceed to find out stuff about the person's apartment and vacancy schedule (like when the person isn't home because they're on vacation) to see if and when it's worth it to break in. It's usually elderly people who get tricked by these scammers. :( In the case here I think Michelle knew the maintenance person from prior repairs so that's good!

I once had a total stranger approach me while I was at a park with my children. He was probably 10 or 15 years older than me, and he asked me if I was okay. Appearently I had a very contemplative look on my face. He was probably just trying to be nice, but I felt very uncomfortable, especially as my husband was out of town for several days.

I LOVE the DeMeyer Wood planters. I found them through Etsy and not only are they amazing quality...they ship for free! I've never had to line mine either :) I would find it nice that your maintenance person asked if you were doing okay. I can understand the uneasiness. People are so scared these days and assume the worst about the simplest situations or harmless people thanks to the media and just the world we live in right now. Someone (man or woman) can harm a man just as easily as they can harm a woman. But, I will also say regardless from a business perspective they really should be giving you a heads up before showing up randomly during your work day. It wouldn't bother me if a man or woman showed up at my door due to their sex...it would bother me because it's a huge interruption/distraction in the middle of my day if I'm busy. It'd be worth bringing up to property management for sure.
