Well done Lee, 1000 subs, we’ve just turned that over around the same time! Much deserved mate. I’m gutted about Ally Pally, I was going but they announced a rail strike which meant I couldn’t go (Mrs Exehaven needs the car on Saturday’s🙄). Looks like you got yourself a nice little haul of stuff and I do like the Underground stock. I remember when I was young and mum and dad took me to London it was always about weather we’d get a red or silver underground train, simple happy times mate😁 The foot bridge is excellent as well as the waiting rooms, the weathering is good to Lee, gives the bridge plenty of detail. Looking forward to the next update, we’re away from the end of the week so hopefully catch up when I get back. Cheers Lee, John

Hello John, hope you've been well mate. Yeah ally pally was good. Didn't meet anyone, except Jenny Kirk (she was nice). The rail strike didn't actually affect me, I drove to the Elizabeth line at harold wood then took the train. I did have a good ole spend up and it's going to keep me busy for a while, plus I've still got them figures coming that will need painting. Glad you like the work on the bridge and waiting room, I really try to be careful with the weathering and don't over do it. I love the underground and really want to focus on the tube stock now (got more on order, so I'll show them soon). John take care mate and look forward to catching up soon. All the best, Lee

Hi Lee, Good update the footbridge looks great and blends in so well as for the track thats railways for you I still like putting pins in to fix them but yes if unlke me you are doing a proper model railway they distract from and are not right you can always put a pin on the outside of the sleepers as they do not show so much peco ones are so fine but a pain to put in. I was at Ally Pally on the Saturday so sorry our paths did not cross if we go next year a meet up arranged in advance may be a good idea as well as doing it for GETS in October will watch out for the next video and hope to see some trains running keep well and modeling. Cheers Robert.

Hi Robert, hope you are well. I'm glad you like footbridge, it took a lot of time but has paid off. Yeah the track is a bit annoying but it is only temporary and was laid just to make a loop into the station as im not sure what I'll be doing for the rest of the layout. I tried the pin on the outside, but to but to be honest, its so bodged, it didn't work lol. Robert I think pre planning a meet at GETS sounds like a plan, definitely. Lovely speaking to you Robert as always my friend. Take care and thanks for watching and getting in touch. Take care mate. Lee

4:41 Thats always been the trouble with Model Railways The likes of Hornby and Bachmann tend to go more for models like HSTs and the like because the majority of people know them, but don't do the models that you really want like underground or mainline Class 315s or 317 etc cos they would only appeal to a minority At least that was the attitude that I garnered when I wrote to Hornby as an 12 year old in the 90s

Thanks for those kind words, that is really encouraging. I've not actually thought about the magnet couplers yet, but I seen plenty of videos on them and do like the idea of them so yes, could be something for the future and they do actually make a rake look so much better with the closer coupling, not to mention the ease of coupling/decoupling. Great work Lee! As someone who travels on the Fenchurch Street line daily (Upminster station specifically) and as someone who has wanted to build a big model railway since he was a kid, this is a station that if I were to get into the hobby again, I would want to reproduce. I was even considering building some other stations and points of interest on the route including Barking and West Ham stations and the underground depot and cleaning sheds. Fortunately for my wallet, my wife is less understanding of me wanting to spend a shed load of cash on model railways so I will need to stick with your channel instead! Keep up the great work!

Firstly, thanks for watching and commenting, it is much appreciated. I too travel on the Fenchurch St line and from Upminster (my local station). It's because of being being like you with that thought of building a large model railway and the numerous encounters with Upminster, that the model has been produced. I also think of westham and Barking, but I'll have to see how it goes, still got work to do Upminster. Thanks again for your support and hope to speak again soon. Best regards, Lee

Congratulations, Lee, on achieving 1k. Your footbridge is a credit to your hard work. Anyway I look forward to seeing more from you in the near future.

Thanks for those nice comments, really appreciated. Yeah I watched that episode on chadwick too, but it was too late. Hi David. Thanks for watching as always mate. Yeah the track really lets it down, altough in my defence, it is only those 2 corners because they are joining temporary track that was there just to make the loops, the track in and out the station is pretty good. Either way, its really still dodgy and dodgy is dodgy! Lol 😆 Glad you like the footbridge and waiting room. Thanks for watching David and commenting, it's encouraging mate. Very impressed with the footbridge, Lee. Im not familiar with Uxbridge station, but when you make the missing supports will they be such heavy duty structures as the existing ones or can you do 'simpler' ones - just two uprights with cross braces? Also, I'm of the opinion the waiting room building will look even better with canopies. Love the '38 stock and thanks for reminding me that I am that old. Looking forwards to the next one.

Hi Ozzy, hope you're keeping well buddy and thanks as always, I look forward to hearing from you. Sorry about the 38 stock comment on age lol, I'm not much further mate haha. Glad you like it. I'll do a quick running session when the decoder arrives and run the surprise new stock too! Excellent to see you’ve been busy. Funnily enough I was going to buy the ‘38 stock at Ally Pally, until I saw the price, glad I didn’t seeing as it needs two decoders: looking forward to a video on LU stock, I’ve always wanted some but can’t find any particularly great and affordable options. The footbridge looks very smart, very fine work on the railings, will you try adding some heavy rust or are you going to leave it at light weathering? The waiting room looking good to, the weathering does make the paper brick look mush more convincing. Flexitrack is awkward on curves, the best solution I’ve found is to not have the joints/fishplates in line which stops it kinking badly. Kind regards

Hello Harry, how are you mate. Seems ages since we last spoke. To be honest, I do love the diesels and most trains, but I'm a Londoner and the tube and LU just means so much to me that this year I promised myself I would concentrate on tube stock. When I saw the 38 stock, I just had to have it and... I've got a really lovely surprise with tube stock on the next video because it didn't stop there. Glad you approve of the bridge and waiting room Harry because your veiws and comments mean a lot to me as you know, so thank you for that. The answer to your question is yes, I want to add rust, but I have experimented with several rust paints and just not convinced on them yet, but yes, it will be coming for sure. It looks like the station is almost complete, but as you know Harry, there is still so much more to do. Harry take care my friend and thank you as always for all your support. Lee
