It baffles me how quick the police were to rule out 3rd party involvement and never cordoned off the bench area for forensics.

Decoys work and work very well especially with law enforcement. The Jennifer Kesse case in Orlando Florida is one fooled law enforcement example. The abductors simply had her car moved a few blocks away to stage her abduction outside the condo complex, whereas in reality, she was abducted and likely murdered inside by illegal workers, and disposed of later.. So the police went on a wild goose chase looking for her all over Orlando, just like the police in this case, the police are at the Irish Sea. It's crazy but decoys work. Jennifer Kesse's body has never been found and the police has never admitted to being misled. What a mess!

@megja1812 And it works, unless you can think outside the box, or that you're smart enough to see it as a decoy. Perpetrators use tip lines to the max also, this case is no different, 100's if not 1000's of calls come in anonymously. For the police chief to not rule out drowning is either a decoy, a ploy but if not, she's making a big mistake and her job is now on the line.

when someone goes missing don't they normally organise a line of many locals walking in lockstep inch by inch side by side walking search in grass lands, woods etc. they so super focused on the river with an lacking approach to other situations that could have arisen not involving the river. you know day one could have seen the area cut off to the public. search dogs that have a nose for finding the cent trails of people. forensic teams could have been on the spot. but its just odd full stop no two ways about it. its strange how the police want us to focus on the river and nothing else.

I believe they have been searched. However in most cases to get to most houses you risk being seen. One thing too to remember is one huge risk is people would not know if someone was in the house across the river as it looks over everything. It makes the area very unsuitable.

My understanding is they (the police) did at the start. One presumes once they took the evidence they needed then there was no need to keep it blocked off. Also remember the conditions may have been different on the day, such as much colder and so on. The ground may have been frozen. So when you look at my films, remember your seeing the footage shot a week or so later during the day. It may be the river level was also higher that day. In an ideal world I would have filmed at 9am and the same temp and the same river level and so on.

She was on a zoom or something call with her work. It is reported she did this each Friday. She was just listening. It is possible she would put the phone down while the meeting went on as she was not interested (I have done this myself) or she got up to see something, perhaps to see what the dog was up to and as she did, places the phone on the bench. She did not log out of the meeting apparently.

The dog is the type to swim. My friend has one. But then again some dogs hate the water. Or some will not go in if it is cold. The dog may not have seen her go in if the dog was playing. The path around the area has been man made raised up as a flood defence. You cannot see someone on the other side unless you are close. I have three dogs, and not one would go in if I fell in, if anything they would wonder off to see if someone had treats for them.

I walked around. There is no hiding spot in truth. Remember others are also walking in the area. It is reported that she herself walk around the area so presumably would spot someone. You then have to factor in this person would have to walk to the area without being seen, going past a main road that is busy and down a path people are walking on. Then grab her and carry her all the way back (that itself would mean they are very strong). And again do all this without being seen. And I presume walk to a van or car parked down the road without anyone seeing you. I would think seeing someone carry a lady would have been noticed. The problem with the she was taken theory is that you have to work out how this person was not seen on a very busy road. In fact if you were planning on grabbing someone, I suspect you would just stand at the church entrance and grab them as they walk past as the risk of being seen is much lower and you can get directly off with the person.

Falling into the river is the most logical explination. Its not america, most people unless in gangs carry guns amd this isnt an area where theres a high crime rate. Plus, if sje jad been abducted, how would anyone not see or hear anything from a struggling woman ? Her dog would have followed them.

The path is I believe man made flood defence. It has been raised a lot higher than the fields. If you had fallen in on one side of the path, even stood close by on the other side you probably would not see them. It is almost impossible to walk away on the path without being seen. Then when you get to the main road it is very very very busy.

True. However remember the river may have been different that morning. It may have been very cold. It may have been deeper. It may have been moving fast. The sea may also impact as I believe the river goes higher or something as the sea goes in and out. In an ideal world I would have filmed the same time of day with the same conditions.
